The Las Cruces boys continued to roll through District 3-5A with back-to-back dominant victories this weekend.

After putting 110 points on the board against Gadsden on Friday, the Bulldawgs improved to 17-0 and 4-0 in district play with a 93-47  home victory over Organ Mountain (1-1 3-5A) on Saturday.

"We just try to take every day day by day and get better in practice and understand that it's not about the score, but about getting better," Aggies coach William Benjamin said. "I thought we did a good job of doing that today."

Organ Mountain struggled with the Bulldawgs' press, but four made 3s kept the Knights close at 23-12 after the first quarter.

But the Bulldawgs took over in the second quarter, outscoring Organ Mountain 16-0 to open a 39-12 lead after a Deuce Benjamin dunk and a two-handed Isaiah Carr slam from a Benjamin assist.

Carr and Benjamin each scored 31 points on Saturday. and David Cruz scored 13 points.

Dorian Rivera led the Knights with 13 points.

"(Knights coach Rocky Gonzales) did a good job double teaming Deuce and also making us have to run different zone offenses," William Benjamin said. "We got better today because we had to execute different things offensively and also had to work on the press. They had different press breakers that made us have to make adjustments."
