A look at some of the top boys and girls athletes from El Paso High School

The El Paso Times is taking a look at some of the best athletes to play at the high school level in the city. The next program we are looking at is El Paso High. The Tigers will be in Class 5A next season. 

Many athletes for each school were submitted and all of them had tremendous qualifications. We will keep the list to the top 10 based on factors such as professional career, major achievements in college and achievements in high school. 

Mark McCall was one of the best athletes to ever suit up for El Paso High School. He went on to play for the Harlem Globetrotters.

Mark McCall — Basketball 

Dick Savitt — Tennis

Andy Cohen — Baseball, basketball, football 

Gilbert Contreras — Track and field 

Fred Patterson — Football

Victoria Garcia of El Paso High is one of school's best athletes of all time.

Female

Patsy Norman — Distance runner 

Victoria Garcia — swimmer 

Emily Perez — Volleyball

Yesenia Alarcon-Ortega — Basketball 

Rennie Rebe — Soccer
