List of El Paso school districts, schools who have suspended summer workouts due to virus

Here is a list of high schools or school districts in El Paso, which have suspended summer workouts for student-athletes due to the coronavirus. 

* Ysleta Independent School District (Bel Air, Ysleta, Del Valle, Riverside, Eastwood, Hanks, Parkland)

* El Paso High School

* Cathedral High School 

* Socorro High School

* Chapin High School 

* Irvin High School

* Canutillo High School

* Burges High School (football only) 

* Austin High School 

* Immanuel Christian Schools

* Socorro Independent District (Socorro HS, Pebble Hills HS, Eastlake HS, Americas HS, Montwood HS, El Dorado HS)

On Saturday, YISD suspended workouts after a coach at Riverside tested positive for the virus. 

On Sunday, El Paso High suspended activities moving forward. El Paso High football coach Ray Aguilar, Jr., said no positive test have been recorded for any of the student-athletes or coaches. 

El Paso high schools began working out earlier this month after both the UIL and TAPPS gave them permission to begin working out with strict guidelines. High school athletic events were shut down in March and eventually cancelled.
