FARMINGTON — The crew of the independent film "Aurora's Law" is in town shooting scenes around the city this week. Production is scheduled to continue in the Farmington area for five days.

The film focuses on the character of Aurora Hernandez, played by Roxanne Fortner, and her desire to become a lawyer despite her mother's wishes to keep the family together.

Brent Garcia, executive producer and director, said a wedding scene was being filmed today at the San Juan Country Club.

Actors Steven Michael Quezada, who played DEA agent Steven Gomez on the television series "Breaking Bad," and Quinton Aaron, who portrayed Michael Oher in the 2009 film "The Blind Side," also are involved in the production.

The film is scheduled to shoot in Albuquerque for about 10 days and then return to Farmington.
