The Four Corners Federated Republican Women will meet at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 7 at the Piñon Hills Community Church, 5101 N. Dustin Ave., to honor veterans. The event includes a presentation by retired Adm. Bruce Black Sr. on "Why We Remember — Why We Fight," a donation to the Blue Stars Mothers and a presentation by New Mexico Department of Veterans Affairs coordinator Beverly Charley. Lunch is $13.

The Fall 2019 Student Art Exhibit opens with a reception at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Henderson Fine Arts Center Art Gallery on the San Juan College campus, 4601 College Blvd. in Farmington. The show includes work by students and faculty members in such media as ceramics, drawing, paintings, photography, two-dimensional and three-dimensional design, metal sculpture and digital media.
