Colorado Springs woman dies after being hit by truck near Lordsburg
LAS CRUCES - New Mexico State Police said that a Colorado Springs woman was killed in Hidalgo County on Saturday after she was hit by a vehicle.
The collision occurred just north of Lordsburg on State Road 90 near mile marker 1, according to an NMSP press release.
NMSP said that Jessica D. Beam, 53, was walking in the eastbound lane of the road when she was struck by a 2019 Ford F-350. Beam was pronounced dead on the scene
State police did not name the driver of the truck.
State police said that it's not known whether alcohol was s factor in Beam's death. The crash remains under investigation by State Police.
