LAS CRUCES - The city will hold its third free drive-thru mask distribution event from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14 at Field of Dreams, 2300 Tashiro Drive. This event will also include free COVID-19 testing.

Reusable masks for adults and paper masks for kids will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis as part of the city’s ongoing campaign — Mask Up Las Cruces.

Las Crucens who are interested in getting screened for coronavirus will have an opportunity to do so at the drive-thru event.

The public will enter off Tashiro Drive, then follow the signage through the distribution site. There will be a limit of one kit of reusable masks per person in the car, each kit contains five cloth masks. There is no cost, or registration required to pick up a mask or get tested, but community members must remain in their vehicles and roll down their windows as they approach the distribution tables. No walk-ups or bicyclists will be permitted.
