Patricia Ann Jacquez "Patty", 75, of Bloomfield, NM. passed away on April 6, 2024. She was born July 18, 1948 in Pocahontas, AR. to Floyd and Ada Pearl Conley.

Patty and her husband Gil had a great love story where they embarked on a series of adventures, up or down, thick or thin, in sickness and in health, side by side they did it all, and they did it together. In the spring we would all load up in the Ford Bronco, camper in tow, and head to Oklahoma to be with the Conley side of the family for Crappie season. Gil and Patty loved to hunt and would put in every year for elk and deer, some years they were lucky and some years they were not. Camping out at Navajo Lake or renting a cabin at Vallecito Lake, they always had time for family adventures. She would make the best picnics and even going out and cutting wood was an adventure!

Patty loved life and she loved to sing, she was so good at it too! She was fortunate enough to cut her first record in her 20's, "No Deposit No Return" The album was before it's time and seems spot on in today's world. Later in life her younger sister Wanda joined her, and they were known as The Conley Sister's with the band Ashton Park. They entered a competition known as Battle of the Bands in the late 80's. Patty went on to win a place on the show "You Can Be a Star" in Nashville, Tennessee. This was an adventure of a life time for Patty She sang the song "Life Is a Song" that she wrote and recorded for her the love of her life. So just remember "Papa Gillie, the soft morning mist will just be a kiss to tell you I love each day...

Patty was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Ada Pearl Conley; her loving in-laws Fermin and Egina Jaquez; her brother Billy Joe Conley and his wife Midge; her sister's Betty Ann Schmitz-Conley and Mary Jean Williams-Conley.

She is survived by her loving husband Gilbert F. Jacquez; her son Mark McGuffin; her step-son Nathan F. Jacquez; her daughter Jeanie Birdsall; her step-daughter's Shelly Jacquez and Audra Jacquez; grandchildren Samantha Maestas, Levi Maestas, Kristyn Jacquez, Ezekiel Fierro, Bailey Cole (Draken, Colten), Makinsey Cole, Hunter Cole, Travis McGuffin, Jordan McGuffin. Her sister Wanda F. Lopez-Conley (Dwayne) and nieces and nephews Charles Wayne Conley, Dino Hilbolt, Sherry Hilbolt, Charlette Zumwalt, Traci Shamblin, Duane Lopez, Brandi Johnson, and several great-nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be a celebration of her life at 10:00 am, Saturday, April 20, 2024 at The Master's Hand Church of God, 306 N. 7th St. in Bloomfield, NM.
